Alcohol can cause adverse reactions with medications, which can cause further or more severe side effects. However, it is thought to be relatively harmless to mix Oxytetracycline with alcohol. Alcohol may make the drug less effective, but the risks vary from person to person. It is best to avoid drinking alcohol until your infection is gone, and you are no longer taking the medication. Moderate drinking generally does not have a substantial effect on Oxytetracycline, but it is best to check with your doctor first, to reduce any potential complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are taking Oxytetracycline for a urinary tract infection (UTI), there is a high risk of exacerbating the infection if you drink alcohol, so it should be avoided.
