Last year, Interpol said counterfeit medication for ED continues to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interpol.int\/News-and-Events\/News\/2023\/Global-illicit-medicines-targeted-by-INTERPOL-operation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">most seized drug<\/a> globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Counterfeit drugs are at best inactive and at worst life-threatening. Tests have<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3069491\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" rel=\"dofollow\" > found them to contain<\/a> inconsistent doses of active ingredients, as well as contaminants and potentially hazardous ingredients.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that there is nothing wrong with generic medications in general. Once the patents expire on a medication, any manufacturer is free to produce their own version, and will often sell then for reduced prices. However, some sellers may try to pass these off as the branded versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But there are ways you can make sure the drugs you\u2019re taking are legitimate. Here are two golden rules for buying medication online:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-only-buy-from-a-registered-online-pharmacy\">1. Only Buy From a Registered Online Pharmacy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All legitimate online pharmacies should clearly display their official status and the relevant bodies that regulate them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For UK-based online pharmacies, this includes a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) green cross and registration number. Medication should be MHRA-regulated and doctors should be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if a pharmacy is a member of Numark, it shows they are committed to quality and excellence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re buying from a pharmacy abroad, check how it meets the pharmacy regulations within its own country and what these regulations mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-check-your-medications-when-you-receive-them\">2. Check Your Medications When You Receive Them<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you receive your medications, first check the expiry date. This should be displayed on the box and the blister pack or bottle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, check that the printing on the box is clear and that the manufacturer logos are identified on the box and on internal packaging.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You should then check the colour and shape of your pills, making sure they have the correct markings on.
