Overview
Free Blister Pack Medication Boxes
You can request a free blister pack medication organiser from our NHS registered UK pharmacy.
We have revolutionised what the bilster pack can be, and have packaged your medication in more mobile, and easier to use small pouches. This means you can easily take your medication with you if you're popping out for a day, or a long weekend. No need to carry your large plastic blister pack anymore, or fiddle around with cutting out that's days medication!
What is a blister pack?
A blister pack is a medication aid, which helps you take the correct tablets at the right time of day. They are usually made of recyclable cardboard and plastic and are organised by time of day and day of the week. This makes it easy for a patient to select the correct time and day, and push out all of their required medication for that time.
Blister packs can help patients improve their adherence to their prescribed medication, and improve health outcomes. Blister packs are often used in care home settings to help patients and carers organise medicines.
Who can receive a free blister pack?
Our blister pack service is available to people who are on 4 or more NHS repeat prescription medications. It may be useful for people that struggle with remembering to order or take their medication at the right times.
You can order a blister pack free of charge from our UK registered online pharmacy. We can organise your medication into the pack and deliver them to your home address every month.
These blister packs / boxes are perfectly suited for the elderly. They organise all medication in to the specific time of day, so all the patient needs to do, is tear open the single pouch, and take the medication inside.
How is a blister pack organised?
With our blister packaging, your tablets are organised into 4 weekly trays. Each week is separated into days. Each day is separated into:
- Morning
- Lunchtime
- Evening
- Bedtime
We organise your medications into their specific time slots for each day. For example, if you take one medication in the morning and at bedtime, we will put these tablets into the morning and bedtime slots for all 28 days. If you do not take any tablets at lunchtime, this slot will simply be empty.
We take away the hassle of organising your own medication. Some people can find it difficult to remember to take every tablet and it is common for people to miss a tablet occasionally. With our blister packs, we aim to make it easier to take your tablets and harder to miss a dose!
A tablet blister pack is different from a 7-day tablet box and our pill box product.
Our pharmacy dispensing team will organise your prescriptions each month from your GP (depending on your GP surgery. Your completed blister pack will then be delivered to your door.
7 Day Pill Box vs Simple Online Pharmacy Blister Pack Medication
We’ve outlined the key differences between these below:
- For a 7 day pill box, you need to organise your own medication. With our blister packs, we organise your prescriptions, dispense your medication into the blister packs, and deliver these to you each month.
- 7 day pill boxes only cover 7 days! Your 28 day blister pack is far more convenient and takes away the hassle of organising and planning your medicines.
Blister packs | 7 day pill box |
We organise your medicines for you | You have to organise your medicines |
No hassle of going to the pharmacy | Time-consuming visits to the pharmacy |
28 or 56 days worth of medication | Only contains 7 days of medication |
