Calpol dosage
Pain and other causes of fever in children aged 2-3 months:
Give 2.5mL and if necessary after 4-6 hours, give a second 2.5mL dose.
Post-vaccination relief of fever in children aged 2, 3, and 4 months:
Give 2.5mL every four to six hours if required. Maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours. If your baby still requires this medicine after 2 days after the vaccine, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Dosage warnings:
Do not give to babies under 2 months old.
Only give this medicine if your baby weighs over 4kg and was born after 37 weeks.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Do not give more than 2 doses. This is to make sure if your child has a serious infection it may be quickly diagnosed. If fever persists after 2 doses, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
For oral use only.
Discard any unused medicine from an open sachet.
Do not give more medicine than the patient information leaflet dosage information tells you.
If your child’s condition does not improve, speak to your doctor.
Always measure the medicine with a level spoon, do not overfill.
Do not use any other paracetamol containing products while using this medicine.
