About Carnation Verruca Care
Carnation Verruca Care Plasters are an easy-to-use treatment for the removal of verrucas.
Each plaster is imbued with salicylic acid; a mild acid which helps to break down hard skin, and also target the virus that causes verrucas. Simply place a plaster onto your verruca each day, and you should see results within 10-14 days.
The padding on the verruca caps helps relieve pressure, preventing the pain of a verruca from getting in the way of your day.
Alternatives
Some patients may find that Carnation Plasters aren’t as effective at treating their symptoms. Here at Simple Online Pharmacy, we have a number of alternative gels, creams and plasters available, including;
Practical Tips
Warts and verrucas can be easily spread, whether amongst families or out in public; the following foot care advice should help avoid infection, or avoid spreading it if you are already infected;
Avoid touching the verruca - aside from during treatment, you should avoid touching the verruca at all times. If you do need to touch it, consider wearing disposable gloves, or washing your hands thoroughly straight away.
Get your own towel - sharing a towel can easily spread the virus that causes verrucas. Where possible, keep your towels separate from anyone else’s, and make sure to wash it regularly.
Keep your feet covered - shower socks can help keep your feet covered even in the shower, while a simple pair of slippers can be enough to help limit the spread elsewhere in the house.
Keep your socks clean - when your socks get sweaty, they become a perfect breeding ground for microorganisms; hot, moist and near lots of nooks and crannies to grow in. Don’t wear the same socks for more than a day at a time, and do not share socks or hosiery with anyone else.
Protect broken skin - areas of cracked or broken skin will be much more susceptible to the virus that causes warts and verrucas. Where possible, keep these areas covered with dressings or plasters while they heal.

FAQ
How do Carnation Verruca Plasters work?
Warts, corns, calluses and verrucas all share a few common characteristics. One of these is layers of hardened, dead skin cells that cover the problem. Carnation uses salicylic acid, which breaks down the hardened skin, loosening it to allow it to be picked off or removed with an emery board or pumice stone.
This acidic treatment also allows Carnation Verruca PLasters to kill the virus that causes warts and verrucas. Once removed, healthy skin should grow back in place of the problem area.
