About Colief Infant Drops

Colief Drops are designed to help your baby digest lactose in milk. For the first few months, some babies cannot create lactase, an enzyme that breaks down lactose into useable sugars. Colief Infant Drops can be mixed into your baby’s milk, or given to babies before they breastfeed. The lactase contained within will make milk easily digestible, and may help relieve some of the symptoms of colic.

FAQ

How does Colief work?

When you digest certain foods, your body produces enzymes; chemicals which allow your body to break down certain compounds. Lactase is the enzyme that breaks down lactose, the main sugar in milk. Some babies do not develop the ability to produce lactose until they are a few months old. This means that the lactose can be trapped in their digestive system, leading to swelling and pain.

Colief contains lactase, which breaks down lactose before your baby digests it, making it easier to feed them, and helps prevent some symptoms of colic.
