About Anusol Cream
Anusol is a medicine that provides soothing relief for the swelling, itch and irritation caused by piles (haemorrhoids) and anal fissures. The medicine soothes and protects the affected areas by using three active ingredients, Zinc oxide, Balsam Peru, and Bismuth oxide. The triple ingredient formulation allows for rapid absorption and quick relief. Anusol can be used for internal and external piles and comes with a nozzle to assist with internal application to make it more comfortable.
How Anusol Cream works
The Zinc oxide soothes and protects while also acting as an antiseptic. Balsam Peru is a mild antiseptic that protects sore areas and may promote healing in the area. Bismuth oxide further protects irritated, raw areas and acts to keep raw areas clean.
How long Anusol cream takes to work
The medicine acts to keep the area soothed while the body begins to heal the area. It may take up to 5-7 days of use for the condition to significantly improve. If symptoms persist for more than a week after use, speak to your doctor about other options that may be more suited to you.
