Eli Lilly has recently received the go ahead to begin selling Cialis (tadalafil) over the counter without a prescription. Cialis Together is a 10mg dose of Cialis, designed to stay in your system for up to 36 hours.
How Does Cialis Together Work?
Cialis Together contains tadalafil, which is a PDE5 inhibitor.
When blood flows through your body, your blood vessels expand and contract to allow more or less blood to flow as needed. PDE-5 is one of the hormones responsible for these changes. When activated, PDE-5 causes your blood vessels to contract, increasing blood pressure.
When you achieve an erection, blood flows into the penis, causing specialised tissues to swell and stiffen, allowing for penetration. By blocking the action of PDE-5, tadalafil prevents the blood vessels around the penis from contracting. This increases blood flow into the penis and makes it easier to achieve and maintain an erection.
Unlike other medications, which have a stronger effect for a shorter period of time, tadalafil will stay in your system for up to 36 hours, meaning you can afford to be more flexible with when you take it and when you have sex.
How Effective is Cialis Together?
According to the manufacturer, Cialis Together is effective for between 60 and 70% of men. It is unclear what causes some men to not respond to the treatment; the source of the ED issue may be psychological, rather than physiological. In some cases, patients may simply need a higher dose; a 20mg version of CIalis is available with a prescription.
Is Cialis Together Right For Me?
Despite being available over the counter, Cialis Together may not be suitable for all patients.
Cialis Together is designed for treating erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Its effects have not been studied in women, but it is believed that it will not help with female sexual dysfunction, and may simply cause unpleasant side effects.
If you are taking any other medications, or you have any other medical conditions (such as kidney or liver problems), you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist to see if Cialis Together is suitable for you. In particular, you should not take Cialis Together if;
- You are also taking nitrates or nitric oxide donors
- You are also taking riocguat or guanylate cyclase stimulators (to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension)
- You use amyl nitrate (“poppers”) as a recreational drug
- You have uncontrolled low blood pressure, or high blood pressure
- You have been advised to avoid sexual activity by your doctor, including if you have heart problems
- You have a structural issue with your penis, such as angulation, cavernosal fibrosis or Peyronie’s disease

Does Cialis Together Have Any Side Effects?
As with any medication, Cialis Together carries a risk of side effects in some people. The most commonly experienced side effects include;
- Headache
- Back pain
- Muscle aches
- Pain in the arms and legs
- Facial flushing
- Nasal congestion
- Indigestion
Around 1 in 10 patients using Cialis Together have reported one or more of these effects. Normally, they are mild and pass quickly.
In rare cases, you may experience more severe side effects. If you experience any of the following, stop using this treatment and speak to a healthcare professional for urgent medical attention;
- Signs of an allergic reaction, including difficulty breathing, swelling of the mouth, tongue or lips
- Chest pains – do not use nitrates to treat any chest pains while using this medication
- An uncomfortable or painful erection lasting longer than 4 hours
- Any loss or decrease of vision

What Do I Do if Cialis Together Doesn’t Work?
Cialis Together contains a 10mg Cialis dosage; if needed, you may be able to switch to a higher dose. However, these higher doses can have worse side effects, and as such need to be prescribed by a doctor. Here at Simple Online Pharmacy, we also supply 20mg Cialis tablets.
