Vaniqa Cream is a prescription medication used for the treatment of unwanted facial hair in women. It works by slowing down hair growth at the application site.
You can buy Vaniqa cream for female facial hair online from our UK registered online pharmacy and doctor service. After completing your assessment and checking out, your order will be passed to our UK registered doctors for review. If the online consultation is approved, our pharmacy team will dispense and dispatch your medication to your chosen address via the Royal Mail service.
Vaniqa cream contains the active ingredient eflornithine. The 11.5% strength cream works to reduce facial hair in women who suffer from hirsutism. This is the medical term for excess facial hair in women. Vaniqa can be prescribed to both premenopausal women and menopausal women (those who have started menopause).
Unwanted or excess facial hair can, for some women, be a distressing condition. Vaniqa cream is a cream available on prescription, which can reduce hair growth from the roots. This can result in a significant reduction in facial hair, providing a lasting solution to the problem.
Vaniqa is for women who have the following symptoms, and have tried the following hair removal methods without success:
When Vaniqa is absorbed into the skin, it acts at the hair follicle to interfere with an enzyme that causes hair growth. By disrupting the hair growth cycle, new hair growth is reduced, and women see visibly less and thinner hair being produced.
It should be noted that Vaniqa is not a hair removal cream. It works to disrupt the growth cycle, not completely remove the hair. You can continue with any standard hair removal methods you may have while using Vaniqa, for maximum benefits.
Vaniqa can be applied thinly to your face twice a day to slow hair growth. It should be thoroughly rubbed into the area of the skin. Apply the cream to clean and dry skin. You can still wear make-up after application. You should not wash your face for at least four hours after applying the cream. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying Vaniqa.
The cream acts on your hair follicles to prevent hair growth. You should notice an effect within six to eight weeks. If no benefit is seen after four months, treatment should be stopped.
If the treatment works you will need to continue using it, as hair growth will return around eight weeks if you discontinue use.
Vaniqa can be a simple and long-lasting solution to the problem of excessive and thick, unwanted facial hair. It generally takes between eight weeks and four months to have noticeable effects and is applied twice a day to the affected areas.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, Vaniqa is not suitable for use to remove facial hair. You should speak to your doctor about possible alternative treatment options. Alternative hair removal treatments and creams may be required while pregnant to manage the condition.

If this treatment cream is not suitable for you, there are other hair removal techniques and treatments which may be able to treat your condition. Obvious management techniques include shaving, waxing and epilation. There are innumerable hair removal creams available in the skincare market, and you can also explore other alternatives.
Electrolysis, laser treatment and bleaching, have all proven effective in thinning and removing excessive hair growth. While these treatment options may require specialist assistance, repeated treatments can have significant benefits.
If your BMI is over 25, as well as alternative treatment options, weight loss can also reduce facial hair. While for women who haven’t yet reached menopause, the contraceptive pill can be effective in managing excess hair.
Fortunately, side effects are uncommon and when they do occur, often mild. However, Vaniqa can cause stinging on the skin, tingling, soreness, and/or redness. Acne can also be a side effect of treatment, however, this is far less common.
Dry skin can also be a noticeable effect of using the cream. A full list of Vaniqa's side effects can be found in the patient information leaflet. If you have any concerns with any of the side effects you are experiencing, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

When using Vaniqa, care should be taken to avoid contact with your eyes and the inside of your nose or your mouth. If you accidentally get some of the cream in your eyes, mouth or up your nose, you should immediately rinse thoroughly with water.
When completing your medical assessment for the doctor, ensure you listed out any medical conditions or other medicines as Vaniqa may not be suitable for some people.
Excessive growth of hair in women can happen as the result of an underlying condition or medicine you are being treated with. Investigate with your doctor to ensure no underlying conditions remain undiagnosed or if your medicine may be contributing to excess hair growth.
