Zineryt is an antibiotic acne treatment solution which contains two active ingredients, Erythromycin and Zinc. It used in the treatment of mild to moderate acne.
It works in two ways. Erythromycin is an antibiotic which helps fight against acne-causing bacteria. Zinc meanwhile is known to help the skin healing process.
Zineryt is usually applied to the affected area in the evening, after washing your face. When washing your face, you should use warm water, and ideally an oil-free acne wash. Patting your skin dry is also preferable, as this is less irritating to your skin.
After washing, apply Zineryt thinly over the affected areas with the applicator. If drying of the skin occurs while using Zineryt, you may wish to try applying every second night or using a non-comedogenic moisturiser.
It can take between four to six weeks before you see noticeable results from using Zineryt.
The effectiveness of the treatment can vary from patient to patient. If you don't feel like you can see any effect after six weeks, speak to your GP about alternatives.
If you don’t feel Zineryt lotion is right for you, there are a number of alternative approaches to treating acne.
Other prescription acne treatment options are available at Simple Online pharmacy. These include;
