About Dymista
Dymista is a dual-action nasal spray used to help relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis in individuals over the age of 12 years old. Commonly used in hayfever, Dymista contains two active ingredients, azelastine and fluticasone.
How does Dymista spray work?
Azelastine hydrochloride is an antihistamine that works by interfering with the inflammatory pathway in the body and reduces symptoms such as swelling, redness and itchiness. Meanwhile, Fluticasone is a steroid, which also helps to reduce inflammation. When combined, these ingredients are an effective treatment to reduce common symptoms of hayfever, like a runny nose.
Using Dymista Nasal Spray
Adults and children over 12 years should use ONE spray into each nostril twice daily (morning and evening) to control symptoms. You should not exceed the recommended dose.
How effective is Dymista?
It is a widely used and effective rhinitis treatment. However, every patient can respond differently to medication. If you find that it is not effective for you, you may want to try Beconase or another alternative treatment.
