About Dr Sahira Dar
Dr. Sahira Dar is a Glasgow-based portfolio GP working across the NHS and private sectors, with a special focus on Women’s Health, Lifestyle Medicine, and health equity. Her career blends clinical excellence with a deep commitment to community engagement.
In addition to her clinical work, she is the president of the British Islamic Medical Association which is the professional home and unified voice of Muslim healthcare professionals. She is a strong believer in the power of innovation to transform healthcare, driven by a passion for improving efficiency, accessibility, and equity in care delivery and is keen to see the digital health ecosystem become more representative.
Interests
Movement and Outdoors – Sahira’s perfect weekend involves a hike followed by relaxing at a spa. She regularly enrols into physical challenges to motivate her to keep active and recently completed the SheUltra ultramarathon.
Food – She enjoys trying new cuisines and having someone else cook dinner for her
