What is Genital Herpes
Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STI) caused by the herpes simplex virus. Once you have contracted the virus, it will be present in your body for the rest of your life, however, this does not mean you will always have symptoms. Some people may never display symptoms, and may not be aware they are carriers. It's important to test for STI's if you have had unprotected sex.

Outbreak: One tablet two to three times a day for five days
Suppression: One tablet twice daily for three months
Taking early is important. When taken within five days of the start of an outbreak, antivirals can shorten your outbreak by up to two days or prevent one altogether. They should also make symptoms less severe.
