Ruaraidh’s current specialism is the clinical governance of digital weight management services, particularly GLP-1 treatment pathways.
He is closely involved in assessing how online prescribing journeys work in practice, including dose logic, treatment switching, clinical eligibility, escalation points and patient safety controls. His work focuses on making sure digital assessments are clinically robust, easy for patients to complete, and safe for prescribers to use when making treatment decisions.
Ruaraidh’s expertise lies in translating clinical requirements into safe, practical and workable digital healthcare processes.
Within the business, he works closely with clinical, product and operational teams to review how services function in practice, identify potential risks, and improve the quality and consistency of prescribing journeys. His role helps ensure that clinical pathways are not only clinically appropriate, but also clear, scalable and usable for both patients and prescribers.

Ruaraidh is an experienced clinical pharmacist and independent prescriber with a background spanning community pharmacy, large-scale pharmacy operations, online prescribing and digital health governance.
In his current role as Senior Governance Pharmacist, Ruaraidh works across clinical governance, prescribing quality, audit, service improvement and digital pathway assurance. He is heavily involved in reviewing and testing online clinical assessments, validating prescribing logic, supporting safe prescribing, clinical decision-making and reflection, and ensuring services remain safe, clinically appropriate and aligned with regulatory and professional standards.
Ruaraidh has a particular interest in how digital healthcare can improve access to treatment while maintaining high standards of patient safety, clinical decision-making and governance. His work brings together clinical expertise, operational understanding and a practical approach to improving systems, processes and patient outcomes.
Outside of work, Ruaraidh enjoys spending time with his family and is usually involved in something golf-related. He runs a father-and-son golf YouTube channel with his son, enjoys creating drone footage and video content, and likes travelling, sport and finding new ways to make things work better, whether that is at work, on the golf course or in a video edit.
