What is Nipatra?

Nipatra is a medicine containing a chewable erectile dysfunction (ED) medicine called Sildenafil. Sildenafil Citrate is a PDE5 inhibitor in the well known ED medication, Viagra. It may also be more useful for those who struggle to swallow tablets. Like other ED medicines, Nipatra (sildenafil) will only work when sexually stimulated.

How does Nipatra work?

Nipatra (sildenafil) works by relaxing the blood vessels around the penis. This increases blood flow into the penis. This blood gets trapped in the penis which causes an erection when sexually stimulated. This makes it significantly easier for men to gain and maintain an erection for sexual activity.

Dose

The recommended starting dose is 50mg. If this dose is too strong 25mg may be more appropriate. If 50mg is insufficient to gain and maintain an erection, 100mg chewable Nipatra may be more appropriate. Consult your doctor about the dose appropriate for you.

Take ONE tablet 30 - 60 minutes before sexual activity. Chew the tablet before swallowing. Do not exceed ONE dose daily up to 100mg. A higher dose than 100mg of Nipatra will not cause it to work more effectively, but may cause more severe side effects.

Nipatra side effects

As with all medicines, Nipatra has the potential to cause some side effects in some of the people who take the medicine. It must be noted that not everyone will experience side effects. They vary in severity and how many people will experience them. If you are not tolerating the medicine or your side effects are particularly severe, seek medical attention accordingly.

Prolonged erections (those lasting 4 or more hours) are considered dangerous. If you experience this, seek urgent medical care.

• Have liver problems

Other Medicines and Nipatra

Sildenafil interacts with nitrates, medicines used to relieve chest pain (angina). Together they can cause a fatal reaction.
