Can I take Peptac with other medications?
Ideally, you should not be taking Peptac at the same time of day as other medication (within 2 hours of medication) as antacids can impair the absorption of some medications. You should speak to your doctor or pharmacist if unsure if you can take Peptac with the medication you are on.
How much Peptac should I be using?
Adults and children over the age of 12 can take 10-20 mls up to four times a day. For children aged 6 to 12 are required to take 5-10mls up to four times a day.
When should I take Peptac Liquid?
It is best to take Peptac liquid after each meal and at bedtime (this is when the acid in your stomach can present problems) to help relieve symptoms of heartburn and indigestion. The Peptac Liquid will also remain in the stomach for longer at these times and therefore will have longer to act.

Directions of use for Peptac Liquid
Peptac Liquid should be taken orally.
Before taking, ensure you shake the bottle well.
For adults and children over 12 years old:
Take TWO to FOUR (5ml) spoonfuls after meals and before going to bed.Leave a gap of 1-2 hours between each dose and with other medicines.
For children aged between 6 to 12 years old:
Take ONE to TWO (5ml) spoonfuls after meals and before going to bed.Leave a gap of 1-2 hours between each dose and with other medicines.
Warnings
Warnings for Peptac Liquid
Peptac Liquid warnings:
- Do not give to children under 6 years old.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children
- Do not store above 25 degrees Celsius
- Do not refrigerate
- Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this medicine
- Take special care if you are on a sodium-restricted diet as 10mls of Peptac Liquid contains approximately 6 mmoles of sodium.
