How to take Tamiflu?

Always follow your doctor’s directions. Below are general directions based on the patient information leaflet.

For treating the flu:

Begin treatment as soon as possible after infection, ideally within 2 days. Take one capsule twice a day, one in the morning and one at night. Take the capsules for 5 days.

For preventing the flu:

Take one capsule daily for ten days. Ideally, take this dose in the morning with some food.

If you have a weakened immune system you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist for further advice as you may need more specialised treatment or prevention therapy.

Do not take Tamiflu if you have had any allergic reactions to Oseltamivir or any ingredients of Tamiflu.
