About Kwells
Kwells tablets provide fast and effective relief from travel sickness, making travelling long distances by car, plane or sea easy. They do this by blocking signals from the inner ear that cause motion sickness. Kwells easy melt-in-the-mouth tablets are an ideal addition to any holiday bag.
Practical Tips to help with travel sickness
- Ensure you can open a window while travelling - fresh air can help with some symptoms.
- Avoid reading or looking at your phone while travelling - music, audiobooks and podcasts can be an easy way to fill a few hours.
- Avoid strong odors - smelly foods can make your nausea much worse.
- If you can, try and have a nap - sleeping will reduce most of the symptoms.
- Look forward at a fixed point - travel sickness is caused by your brain and your sense of balance disagreeing on what you are seeing. Watching passing cars or moving your head around can cause that feeling to become much worse, so stay still as much as possible.
How to take Kwells
To be most effective, take Kwells 30 minutes before travelling. You can also take one at the onset of nausea, but this will be less effective and run the risk of not keeping the medication down long enough to work.
Adults: Take one tablet every 6 hours as required. Do not take more than 3 tablets in a 24 hour period.
Children over 10 years old: Give your child half or one tablet every 6 hours, as required. Do not give your child this medicine more than 3 times in 24 hours.
This medication is not recommended for children under 10 years old.
Kwells can be taken with or without food. They can either be swallowed, sucked or chewed as desired.

FAQ
How do Kwells work?
Many scientists believe that motion sickness is caused by miscommunication between balance organs in your inner ear and what you are seeing. Kwells contain hyoscine hydrobromide, which prevents these areas from sending signals, which reduces the feelings of nausea associated with motion sickness. This kind of medication is sometimes called an antimuscarinic.
How do I take Kwells?
Kwells come in dissolvable tablets - simply suck, chew or swallow the tablets as needed. Taken 30 minutes before travel, either with or without food, they can prevent travel sickness.
You can also take one when the effects of travel sickness starts, however this is less effective and runs the risk of not being able to keep the medication down, meaning you will be unable to take any more for another 6 hours.
Do Kwells make you drowsy?
Drowsiness and dizziness are among the reported side effects of Kwells.
Can I drink alcohol while taking Kwells?
Kwells can cause dizziness and drowsiness- as such, it is not recommended to take them with alcohol, as this will increase the likelihood and severity of these side effects.
