About Accu-Chek Fastclix Lancets
Accu-Chek Fastclix Lancets are a convenient, easy to use finger pricking device. The only 1-click lancing device with a drum, Fastclix lancet devices are designed for comfort.
Each lancet is fitted within a drum that fits inside the lancing devices, meaning each lancet is already prepared, and is removed to be stored in the drum until disposal. This makes lancing quick and easy, with no cleanup.
Each drum is fitted with 6 lancets, meaning there are no individual lancets to see or touch.
Please be aware, this product is designed for use with the Accu-Chek Fastclix lancing device. They cannot be used as individual lancing devices.
In order to make best use of these lacets, you will require some form of blood glucose monitoring strip, such as Accu-check Aviva Test Strips.
Alternatives
Some patients may find that Accu-Chek Fastclix Lancets aren’t as effective for their diabetes care needs. Here at Simple Online Pharmacy, we have a number of alternatives available, including;

Practical Tips
Lancing for diabetes testing can be difficult - follow these simple tips to make things easier.
Always stay clean - wash your hands before and after lancing. Any bacteria which might be on your hands can be forced into the bloodstream with lancing, which can cause serious infections. Similarly, make sure not to share or resume lancets, as this may not only cause false results on blood glucose tests, but can also lead to serious bloodborne infections.
Choose the right depth - many lancing devices will come with adjustable depth settings. Ideally, you should be able to draw blood without causing much pain. Finding the right depth setting for you may require using a different lancet.

FAQ
Can a lancet be used more than once?
It is advised that you use a new lancet each time, as a hygiene concern. Each new lancet is as sharp as it will ever be; each time it is used, it will be blunted slightly, meaning that the best option is always a new lancet to ensure minimal tissue damage.
The Accu-Chek lancet system, as a 1-click finger pricker with a drum, prevents reuse of lancets. Each used lancet is stored within the drum, meaning that once removed they cannot be used again. This is more hygienic, as it stores the used lancets until the can be disposed of safely.
