FAQ
How long does it take for Ibuleve gel to work?
Ibuleve Max Strength Gel is designed to be fast-acting. By applying directly to the skin to be absorbed, Ibuleve should begin to take effect within half an hour or so.
Can I use Ibuleve and take ibuprofen?
No. Ibuprofen is the active ingredient in Ibuleve, meaning you cannot take ibuprofen or related painkillers alongside another product containing ibuprofen.
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which means it cannot be used alongside other NSAID medications. This includes a wide variety of painkillers and other medications, so please read the label before combining medications.
Should I use Ibuleve or Voltarol?
Some people may find that Ibuleve isn’t as effective for treating their symptoms, or that other products are more suitable. Both Ibuleve and Voltarol contain ibuprofen as the active ingredient, so they should work similarly. Which one works best for you comes down to personal preference.

- Generalised allergic skin reactions involving itch, swelling, inflammation, redness and perhaps blistering and light sensitivity;
- More serious generalised allergic reactions involving unexplained nausea and vomiting, swollen eyes, face or tongue, difficulty swallowing, dizziness or light-headedness. Unconsciousness could perhaps occur in the most serious cases.
