How To Use Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief 1.16%

Before first use, remove from the carton and unscrew the cap. Reverse the cap and place back on the tube, twisting to remove the seal. Do not use this product if the seal is already broken.

Gently squeeze a small amount into your hand. The amount of gel needed will vary, depending upon the size of the treatment area. A size from a 1 penny to a 2 pence piece should be enough for most.

Gently rub the gel into the skin. You may feel a slight cooling effect as the gel dries - this is normal.

Allow at least 4 hours between applications; do not apply more that 4 times in a 24 hour period. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Do not rub this product on open wounds, cuts or other abnormal areas of skin. Once applied, do not cover skin with a dressing or plaster.

Wash your hands after application, unless your hands are being treated.

Warnings for use of Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain

This gel is not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age, unless a doctor or pharmacist tells you otherwise. Not suitable for anyone with an allergy to diclofenac or any of the listed ingredients.

For external use only. Do not swallow, or allow contact with the eyes. DO not apply to broken skin or open wounds.

Speak to your doctor before using this product if you are currently taking any other medications, particularly if you are taking any other NSAID medications.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or think you might be pregnant, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. Do not use this product during the last 3 months of pregnancy, as this may harm your baby.

Voltarol should only be used during breastfeeding under medical supervision, as some diclofenac may be absorbed and passed on to your baby.
