Overview
Pill Dispenser UK
With traditional 7 day Pill Dispensers, patients have to organise their own medication every week. Our Pill Dispensers contain a roll of 28 to 56 easy to open pouches (1 or 2 month supplies of medication). These pouches are easy to tear off the roll and open, and they contain your medication for that specific time and day.
Our Pill Dispensers are arranged by:
- Day of the week
- Time of the day
For example, if you take a medicine four times a day, your Pill Dispenser will contain four pouches per day. Each pouch will contain exactly the medication you have been prescribed for that time.
By simply signing up to this service, it means there is no need for you to leave the house or even spend time and energy arranging your pills. We will arrange your prescriptions from your GP each month (depending on your GP surgery). Then, we will organise your pills and deliver them to you for free every month.
What’s more - our artificial intelligence systems check each individual pouch to make sure the correct medication is being provided in your Pill Dispenser. Our pharmacists then double-check each pouch before they are dispatched by Royal Mail to your chosen address.
7 Day Pill Dispenser compared to Simple Online Pharmacy Pill Dispenser
So what is the difference between our own free Pill Dispenser and a 7 day Pill Dispenser? We’ve listed the key differences below:
- You have to fill and organise a 7 day Pill Dispenser yourself. With our free Pill Dispenser, we take care of organising your dispenser and deliver your tablets each month.
- A 7 day pill dispenser only lasts 7 days! Our 28 day Pill dispenser is far more convenient and requires less planning and organising.
- A 7 day Pill Dispenser is actually less portable! Our 28 day Pill Dispenser allows you to tear off the exact doses you need. So if you’ll be out for your lunchtime and evening doses, you can tear these pouches off in the morning and take them with you before you head out. They will probably fit in your pocket, and the tablets will still be contained within the pouches.

FAQ
What is a Pill Dispenser?
A Pill Dispenser is a container that contains your medicines organised by date and time of day. For example, if you are on 4 medications, 2 of which are taken in the morning and 2 taken at night, a Pill Dispenser will contain these at the correct time of day. Many traditional Pill Dispensers require you to remove all of your tablets from the packaging and pack them at the right times yourself.
Does the Pill Dispenser come with a case?
Our free Pill Dispenser is a small cardboard box containing a roll of pouches inside. The pouches feed through the Pill Dispenser case for each time of day and day of the week. This means both your daytime medicines and nighttime medicines are in easy to open pouches.
Does the pill organiser contain all of my daily pills?
It will contain all of your tablets and capsules unless any of your medication needs to be stored in the fridge. Some medicines need to be kept outside of the dispenser for other reasons.
What is the difference between a Pill Dispenser, pill box and pill organiser?
These names are often interchangeable and usually mean the same (or very similar) products. They are simply containers that allow you to organise your tablets into specific time and day slots.
Does it have a compartment for each day?
Our Simple Online Pharmacy Pill Dispenser works differently to traditional plastic Pill Dispensers. Our dispenser contains all 28 days of your medication and it doesn’t have compartments for each day. Instead, the roll of tablet pouches covers every day and every time slot for each of those days. There could be as many as 112+ pouches in an entire roll (depending on the amount of medication you take).
Does the tablet box provide a pill reminder?
Our dispenser is not electronic and so it will not notify you when a dose is due. It simply sorts all of your medicines into the correct time of day. This makes it easy and accurate to take your medication.
What happens if I have other medication I need to order?
We can order the other medication that you need and deliver them along with your Pill Dispenser.
What happens if I have a medication which needs to be stored in the fridge?
We won’t be able to pack any fridge items into the dispenser. Instead, we will deliver these to you in special packaging alongside your dispenser. You should put your fridge items into the fridge as soon as you receive them.
What happens if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose you should check the patient information leaflet for further advice. You can always ask our pharmacists or your own GP for further advice about missed doses. The action you need to take depends on what tablet you have missed and how long ago you missed the dose.
What happens if my medication changes?
Every pouch in the dispenser has a description of each tablet on the outside of the pouch. This should make it easy for you to remove them from your pouch if your doctor advises you to stop a certain medicine. We will be able to make the changes to your next dispenser for your next delivery.
What happens if I have a weekly tablet?
If you take weekly tablets, we can supply these alongside your Pill Dispenser. However, if you let us know which day of the week you take the tablets, we can supply these in a separate pouch within the dispenser.
What happens if I have pain killers I only take when needed?
We can send your ‘when required’ medication to you alongside your Pill Dispenser, but they won’t be put in the pouches.
