How do Voltarol Thermal Patches work?

Voltarol heat patches contain a mixture of chemicals which, when activated, create an exothermic reaction. This means that they create heat as they react.

How To Use Voltarol Thermal Patch 

Tear open the sleeve shortly before you wish to use the patch. Within a few minutes of opening,  the patch starts to heat up.

Remove the plastic backing from the patch and place the patch on the painful area. 

Press firmly to make sure the patch is fixed correctly.

When removing the heat patch, peel off slowly from one corner.

Do not leave the heat patch on for more than 8 hours at a time on any one area of skin. Do not use more than one heat patch per day on the same period.

If your symptoms last more than 7 days, stop using this product and speak to your doctor. 

Do not use this product with other skin medications, or any other heat sources.

Warnings for use of Voltarol Thermal Patch 

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you;

• Have poor circulation
• Are pregnant
• Have any existing nerve damage
• Suffer from rheumatoid arthritis
• Have any skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis
• Have delicate or sensitive skin
• Are elderly or over 65 years of age

Do not use while sleeping, apply pressure during use (including , or lie on the patch while wearing it.

Do not open the patch, or use if the patch is damaged. If the powder in the heat patch comes in contact with the eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention.

Do not use alongside topical medications, or other heat therapy treatments.
