Recently, Eli Lilly has received approval to release CIalis Together, an over the counter treatment for erectile dysfunction.

How Does Cialis Together Work?

Cialis Together uses the active ingredient tadalafil, which works by preventing your blood vessels from contracting. This allows more blood to flow around the body. The penis will fill with blood easier, making it significantly easier for men to gain and maintain an erection. Much like other erectile dysfunction tablets, Cialis will only give an erection when sexually stimulated.

How Long Does Cialis Together Last?

The main reason many men may choose Cialis over the other ED drugs available is its long-lasting effect. Tadalafil can be effective for up to 36 hours after dosing, and so men may be able to have regular sexual activity for days after taking a dose. This earned Cialis the nickname "The Weekend Pill", as it can last for almost a whole weekend.

How Long Does Cialis Together Take to Work?

Cialis Together Dosage

The general dose for Cialis Together is one tablet 30-60 minutes before sexual activity. You should not take more than one dose in a 24 hour period. If you do not get a sufficient erection from the 10mg dose, you can try the higher dose Cialis 20mg tablet - although this dosage requires a prescription. Ideally, use the lowest effective dose to minimise side effects from Cialis. 

You should ideally take tablets on an empty stomach for a faster time to effect.

Warnings for Cialis Together

Cialis Together is only intended for men aged 18 years and older who have erectile dysfunction (ED). Men who do not have ED will not benefit from using this product. 

You should inform your doctor you have started taking Cialis Together, especially if you are starting any new medications. 

Cialis Together should not be used if you are using any medications or drugs containing nitrates. This includes nitrates for angina (glyceryl trinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate), nitric oxide donors (sodium nitroprusside, nicorandil) or the recreational drug “poppers” (amyl nitrate). Combining these medications may result in a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

Do not use Cialis Together with any other recreational drugs, as this may lead to side effects such as dizziness, decrease of blood pressure, stroke or heart attack, seizures, priapism and coma.

Other recreational drugs include, but are not limited to:

• nitrous oxide
• GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate)
• GBL (gamma-butyrolactone)

• MDMA/ecstasy (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine)
• ketamine
• flunitrazepam (also known as rohypnol)
• cannabis
• opioids
• cocaine

Cialis Side Effects

As with all medicines, there is always a risk of experiencing some side effects. While most are not serious, you should be aware of the potential side effects of any medication you take.

The most common of these include: 

• headache 
• back pain
• muscle aches
• pain in arms and legs
• facial flushing 
• nausea and dyspepsia 
• nasal congestion 

Stop taking Cialis Together and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following serious side effects; 

• Chest pains. Get into a semi-sitting position and try to relax while calling for assistance. Do not use nitrates to treat chest pains. 
• Erections lasting longer than 4 hours, are persistent or painful 
• Sudden decrease or loss of vision 
• Allergic reaction. Symptoms can include sudden wheeziness, difficulty breathing or dizziness, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips or throat 
• Serious skin reactions, including severe peeling and swelling of the skin, blistering of the mouth, genitals and around the eyes, fever
