During her graduation, I was awarded a full merit scholarship and later received a merit-based laptop for outstanding academic performance in my third year. During her internship, Shamin committed to becoming a surgeon and achieved this goal by passing all required examinations on her first attempt.
During her fellowship, she was selected as Chief Resident, where she served as the team lead and oversaw the coordination and management of the entire unit.
Shamin is an enthusiastic surgeon who actively participates in public health awareness initiatives and has published research in reputable journals. She has attended and presented at numerous conferences, delivering high-quality talks and contributing to professional knowledge sharing.
During her career, Shamin has mentored many students, mentoring junior colleagues effectively, recognising individual strengths and assigning roles and responsibilities accordingly to support both professional development and optimal team performance.
Currently, Shamin is a full-time mother alongside freelance work, where she contributes to the community by presenting medical information to the general public in a clear and accessible manner. Looking ahead, she aims to become a member of the European Medical Writers Association, do more research work, and further advance her career by specialising in breast surgery.
